Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

The law protects the relationship between client and therapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission with the following exceptions:

Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, which the law requires to be reported to the appropriate authorities immediately.

If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person or persons the police and the intended victim must be notified.

If a client intends to harm him or herself, every effort will be made to enlist their cooperation in alleviating this risk. If they do not cooperate, further measures will be taken without their permission that are provided by law in order to ensure their safety.
